Bush Kidz 2 Centre Overview
Bush Kidz Daycare philosophy is founded on the concept that children learn through play. Bush Kidz Daycare 2 (Blacksoil) is a 75 place 5 room centre catering for children from 6 weeks to 5 years. Construction of Bush Kidz 2 commenced in April 2007. The centre opened on the 2nd July 2007 after an enormous demand from parents in the Ipswich area looking for high quality care and education for their children.
The centre is a state of the art facility sparing no expense on its internal and external environment. The babies and toddler unit has a spacious outdoor play environment which is separated from the larger playground. The baby and toddler unit is fully air conditioned for your child’s comfort and has 2 sleep rooms in each unit. Educational resources have been specially chosen to enhance the development of your baby and toddler. Staff in these units are mature, qualified and have a natural affinity towards the under 2 age and show genuine love and care for each individual child. Parents can feel confident in the knowledge that their child will be nutured and cared for to a very high standard and each child’s needs will be catered for individually.
The junior kindy, kindy and preschool rooms are large, bright and airy and have been created towards a child-focused learning environment. Each room has individual learning centres developed to give your child the opportunity to explore and investigate resources that will increase their imagination, literacy, numeracy and language skills. All children are observed and a learning program is developed for each individual.
The preschool room has been created to prepare your child for school. Our Preschool Teacher is a fully qualified Bachelor in Early Childhood Education teacher and will teach your child the necessary skills for school readiness. The preschool room encompasses computers, science/museum area, art and craft area, construction centre, puzzle and manipulative area, language and writing corner and dramatic play.
The playground has to be seen to be believed. The surrounding bush setting creates a natural environment for children to learn about the world around them. Our Junior Farmers program encourages children to explore nature through caring for animals in the animal nursery on site, worm farms, composting recycling and gardening.
We have an enormous bike track that has a round-a-bout, twists, turns and bumps for the children to ride their bikes on and learn about road and bike safety.
The adventure climbing equipment and sandpit has been built to challenge children’s physical and imaginative skills. The sandpit area is built under 2 large water tanks that have been carved out to make a sandpit maze where children can hide and walk through and peek through the shaped cut out windows.
